Our Philosophy

Let's support your body — naturally, from the inside out

Throughout life, our bodies are constantly experiencing stressors: physical, chemical, and emotional. The greatest stressor of all is our lack of connection to ourselves.

When the body can’t adapt to those stressors, they appear as stored tension patterns that interfere with the body’s perfect balance and healing ability. Chiropractic adjustments release these tension patterns and reduce nerve interference — bringing the body back into its healthy, natural balance and allowing it to use its innate intelligence to adapt to current and upcoming stressors more effectively.

We use a range of adjusting techniques so care is catered to you specifically — never one-size-fits-all. Gentle, low-force options are always available, including for kids and expecting moms.

Stress Builders

The 3 T's of Chiropractic

Three kinds of stress build up in the body over time. Chiropractic care helps your nervous system adapt to all of them.

headache icon
Physical stress

Trauma

Physical injuries and stresses that affect the body’s structure and function — major accidents, repetitive strain, poor posture, or even minor incidents that accumulate over time.

toxins
Chemical stress

Toxins

Substances that can be harmful to the body, such as chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, or even certain medications. Excessive toxin exposure can negatively impact the nervous system.

Emotional stress

Thoughts

The mental and emotional side of well-being. Negative thoughts, stress, and emotional imbalances can have physical manifestations and impact overall health.

Why It Works

Your nervous system sets the tone

When a misalignment and fixation in the spine — a subluxation — creates stress and tension on the nerves, the central nervous system shifts into a protective state of fight or flight. The adjustment is how we help it shift back.

Stuck in protection — the dis-ease cycle

1. A misalignment and fixation occur (subluxation)
2. The stress response is activated
3. The nervous system gets stuck in fight or flight

Restored to growth — the wellness cycle

1. A chiropractic adjustment corrects the subluxation
2. Rest, relaxation, digestion & immune function improve
3. Growth, healing & development are restored

Conditions

Conditions we help — naturally

Root cause, not band-aids

Whether it’s poor posture, muscle strain, or a herniated disc, we address the root cause to relieve discomfort and improve mobility. Studies show chiropractic care can reduce chronic back pain by 38% to 60%. (Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics)

Drug-free relief

Relief from tension headaches and migraines by aligning the spine and alleviating nerve pressure. A study in the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine found adjustments can reduce migraine frequency by up to 72%.

Calm the nerve

Adjustments help reduce inflammation and calm sciatic-nerve irritation. Studies show chiropractic treatments can provide 50–70% pain relief for sciatica patients. (Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics)

Also seeing patients for neck pain, TMJ, vertigo, pinched nerves, carpal tunnel, knee pain, shoulder pain, scoliosis, and more.

Simple from the start

What to expect at your first visit

1

Book once & share your story

Book online in about a minute, or call (254) 413-1248. At your first visit, Dr. Hanses sits down to listen — your story, your health history, and your goals, whether that’s pain relief, better mobility, or simply feeling like yourself again.

2

Exam, findings & first adjustment

You’ll get a consultation, exam, and posture assessment. Dr. Hanses explains what he finds in plain language before anything happens — then gives your first adjustment, tailored to your body’s unique needs. It’s all included in your $39 first visit.

3

Then just walk in

Once you’re a patient and on a care plan, skip the scheduling. Walk in during open hours whenever your body needs care, get adjusted, and get on with your day. Some plans make adjustments cost as low at $13/visit.

Common questions

Questions about chiropractic care

Will I have to keep coming forever?

No. The goal of chiropractic care is to enhance your nervous system's adaptability to stress, promoting long-term health and wellness. Ongoing wellness care is encouraged to maintain optimal function, but it's never mandatory — continued care is a choice, not a requirement. That's also why Elevate has no contracts and no required memberships.

Does an adjustment have to 'pop' to work?

No. The popping sound is simply gas being released from a joint and has no bearing on the success of the adjustment. Dr. Hanses uses gentle, specific techniques suited to each patient — including low-force approaches for kids and expecting moms.

Is chiropractic just for low back pain?

Chiropractic care is often associated with low back pain, but its benefits extend far beyond that. Because care focuses on the nervous system — which influences every function in your body — patients also come in for headaches, sciatica, pinched nerves, and everyday stress, not just back pain.

How much does chiropractic care cost at Elevate?

$39 per visit, every visit, with no insurance needed. Your first visit includes a consultation, exam, posture assessment, findings explained in plain language, and your first adjustment. See Plans & Pricing for packages and monthly plans.

Can I get adjusted while pregnant?

Prenatal care at Elevate uses the Webster Technique — a specific, gentle chiropractic technique for pregnancy, certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Dr. Hanses will review your situation at your consultation and explain whether care is a good fit. Learn more on our pregnancy chiropractic page.
